William P. Draper, President
For close to two decades the craftsmen at DBS have upheld a standard of quality in their workmanship that is rarely found in our time. Unlike today's typical factory, each piece is individually assembled and finished. From wood selection to the hand glazed finishes each and every detail is considered. The original and still popular offerings are antique reproduction Flat and Raised Panel doors in beaded inset frames. Distressed pine in stains and paints are synonymous with DBS. Almost all construction is done in the typical fashion of the antiques being replicated. Hand planed surfaces, mortise and tenon joinery, and carved turn latches are standard on the more primitive door styles. Random coloration of hand applied finishes and artful distressing creates the character of each cabinet.
With DBS as a catalyst, William Draper is asking everyone to think like an artist, not just a placer of cabinets. Use your imagination. No more repetitive rectangles that hold your dishes and pots. The kitchen is now a work of art, a painting with brush strokes reaching across entire elevations. A unified, flowing design that is as appealing to the eye as it is functional. DBS helps you achieve this by offering a number of new door styles with hand carved panels. The carving can be on a single panel or continue through multiple panels to create a scene.
DBS Custom Cabinetry offers a full range of standard furniture pieces for the kitchen and adjoining rooms. You can choose from a carefully designed reproduction piece or design something to fit your exact needs. No more searching for the right table and chairs to match your kitchen.
