A Naturally Beautiful Master Bath by Elisabeth Aiello, CKD
Posted on December 8, 2011 by jlamberski
The work of Kd. designer Elisabeth Aiello did not stop at the kitchen in the 1980’s home in the upscale Riva Chase subdivision of Golden, Colorado. Rather than hiring an outside designer, the homeowners wanted to work with one person who could coordinate everything from construction to finish details both in the kitchen and their master suit bathroom.
With busy work schedules and constant traveling, the homeowners put a lot of trust in Elisabeth to create spaces that met their needs and personal aesthetics. They could only meet for a few appointments, during which Elisabeth would take the clients to local showrooms and review details and finish selections. Elisabeth had to mostly rely on weekly emails and phone calls. At one point, the homeowners were out of the country for almost three weeks, and they often had to tell Elisabeth to make her own judgment call.
Knowing the function and style that would best suit the homeowners, Elisabeth approached each design decision with precision and care, taking time to find the perfect materials and appliances. Even with less frequent communication, Elisabeth succeeded in exceeding the homeowners’ wishes and dreams for their master bathroom.
