Colonial Style Home Conceals Modern Kitchen
Posted on February 11, 2011 by meaton
Our own certified kitchen designer William Landeros together with Atlanta kitchen designer Shirley McFarlane collaborated to design a bright and contemporary kitchen inside a traditional Colonial style home for a surprising, but rewarding home feature.
Now tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle, the kitchen remodel extended the kitchen into a new family living space with oversize windows that let in plenty of natural light and beautiful river views. For the streamlined contemporary look, the kitchen designers chose a combination of German engineered cabinetry: wenge wood veneer cabinets from Studio Becker paired with a Bulthaup glass backsplash and stainless steel countertop with integrated sink.
In addition to being visually appealing, the kitchen is designed in a work station format with an additional oven and induction and gas cooktop that is perfect for entertaining and high-performance home cooking. An integrated beverage refrigerator near the family room ensures no drinks go unfilled.
