Color Effects in Kitchens & Baths: 3 Colors That Can Change Your Mood
Posted on March 20, 2012 by jlamberski
How can color affect our mood? Here’s a look at three colors that when used in sensible or stylish ways can have a significant impact not only on how interiors look, but how they feel as well.
From pale sage to electric lime, green can activate our senses in a unique way. As a dominant color in nature, it can serve as a calming neutral or a vibrant accent.
Purple is a surprisingly powerful hue when incorporated into interiors. In some cases it can add a touch of whimsy or innocence, while in others it can establish refined and sophisticated elegance. Either way, its combination of blue and red undertones can make for a lively, yet still serene effect.
Pantone chose Tangerine Tango as the 2012 Color of the Year to charge and energize designs to propel us into a brighter future. Now designers from all industries are experimenting with this fiery hue.
