Designing for a Small Kitchen

Designing small kitchens can be a bit of a chore. Packing so many things into such a tiny space is tiresome. That’s why we’ve come up with a few creative ideas to get you thinking about designs that may work for you kitchen.
- If you’re working with a kitchenette, try and make the area stand out on its own by painting it a different color. This won’t make it seem any larger, but it’ll bring a lot of life to your kitchen.
- Designing your kitchen in a U shape is the most efficient use of space, and it gets even better with liberal use of lazy susans in corner cabinets.
- If you can put a skylight in you kitchen it will really help to open it up, and natural light is always a good thing.
- Of course, if you don’t want to feel at all like you’ve got a cramped little kitchen, then you could always use the minimal number of appliances and cabinets. Decorate your kitchen as if it were a part of the room next to it.
