With so much time spent in the kitchen between entertaining and whipping up your favorite recipes, you can’t afford to let the clutter accumulate. Maximizing your food prep space is essential, and assigning some order to your kitchen can allow you to make the most of the room. For this reason, we wanted to share some helpful kitchen organization tips from Real Simple:
- Take advantage of a Lazy Susan. Very popular in the 50s, you can put this rotating organizational tool inside your kitchen cabinet to keep all of your items in order.
- Use your kitchen tools as decorative accents. For example, you could hang your collection of vintage pans and pots above your cooktop.
- Place items that you use more frequently in easy-to-reach places. Your everyday plates should be stored within hands reach while your fine china and crystal can be tucked away in the higher cabinets.
- Create a cooking zone in your kitchen. In the area surrounding your stove and cooktop, you should store pots, pans, and essential cooking utensils to make food preparation easier.
