Posted on June 30, 2012 by jlamberski

The National Kitchen and Bath Association has remained an authority in the industry for over 40 years. The NKBA annual design competition, therefore, is one of the most momentous industry events of the year. Not to mention the award-winning designs offer wonderful inspiration for dream kitchens. Let’s take a look at the top kitchen and bath winners and what makes them stand out from the rest.

The 2012 Best Kitchen award went to this beautiful kitchen designed by Peter Ross Salerno. It has a gorgeous combination of neutral tones, polished stainless steel and rich woods. Plus, the breakfast nook booth and contemporary lighting add eclectic touches.

The 2012 Second Place award went to this sleek and chic kitchen designed by Laurie Belinda Haefele. There’s an incredible balance of minimalism and warmth in this design with its clean, stark lines and warm tones and calming green accent.

The 2012 Best Bath award went to this stunning spa bath designed by Yuko Matsumoto. With inspiration and materials from nature, this design is simple but utterly serene with its stonework and sauna feel.
