Open Spaces

With a focus on functionality and staying organized for a bustling family, the 25-year-old house underwent a much-needed update while preserving its original character. Elements like the rock veneer wall and select trusses were retained, maintaining the space’s authentic charm.

The new kitchen layout brought about a transformative shift. The original cooking hearth made way for tall appliances, and the angular center island with a prep sink was replaced with a double island concept. The working island now features an induction cooktop and prep sink, while the perimeter island offers seating complemented by ambient pendants from Remains Lighting.
Rift white oak cabinetry was introduced for the islands and tea bar to soften the classic white perimeter cabinets. The floors transitioned from original cherry to a serene white oak, providing a subtle and inviting foundation. Taj Mahal Quartzite was incorporated throughout the space, adding a touch of luxury and elegance.
